INTRODUCTION OF PROJECT – GESTURE GAMES
In our first class we have learned about communication and one of the communication is non-verbal communication.
Non-verbal communication is the non-linguistic transmission of information through visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic channels. There are some example of non-verbal communications ; gestures, vocal qualities, attitudes, facial expression and eye behavior.
In our Project 1, we have to arrange one fun and simple game on gestures non-verbal communication.
The purpose of our project is to make us clear and understand about what is the gesture and why it is important in our daily life. Gesture allow us to communicate a variety of feelings and thoughts often together with body language. This project want we to achieve understanding that gesture also some kind of communication that can make others understand on what we try to communicate with them.

GAME DESCRIPTION
1. Clothespin Color Grouping
- There are 4 colors of clothespin : red, pink, orange, yellow.
- Clothespin was placed behind the player’s clothes.
- The players are given 2 minutes to find their groupmates based on their clothespins’ color without talking.
- There are 2 different groups which are red and pink as first group, and orange and yellow as second group.
After grouping, they were requested to go to two different checkpoints to play the games.
2. Checkpoint 1 : “Radio Rosak”
- The players need to form two lines.
- Each group need to choose a represent.
- Instructor will give the represent a simple sentence.
- The represent will start to convey the sentences given using body language to the next person.
- The next person will follow the action of the previous person and it will pass until the last person.
- The last person need to guess what is the simple sentence given.
3. Checkpoint 2 : Silent Mode
- The players need to form two lines.
- Each group need to choose a represent.
- The instructor will show the simple English word behind the represent.
- The group members need to convey the English word by using body language.
- The represent needs to guess the English words based on the group members’ body language
REFLECTION
REFLECTION FROM THE TOPIC
We have learned about Communication in our first class. From this topic, we got to learn on how to improve our communication skills. We learn about the theory in the class and applied it in our Project 1 where we have to arrange Gesture Games as outdoor activity for our class. Other that that, we have learned that there are many types of communication such as speaking, writing, listening, reading and non-verbal communication. From that we have learned that all of the communication is important in our daily life. We got to know on how to speak well in front audience using variation of communication and catch their attention to us.
REFLECTION FROM THE PROJECT
This project give a golden opportunity for us to design creative, fun and simple games on gestures non-verbal communication. Other than that, we learned to cooperate with other groups to complete all the games. Last but not least, we need to give the instructions loudly, clearly and easy to understand so that games can be done smoothly and successfully.
